Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town hosts LSSC (Central Zone) Group Dance (Folk) Competition

Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town hosted Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex (Central Zone) Group Dance (Folk) Competition on 19th November, 2022. Dr. Harsimrat Kaur Grewal Assistant Excise & Taxation Commissioner (Ludhiana West) presided over the competition. General Secretary S. Gurvinder Singh Sarna & Manager S. Jasvinder Singh (Advocate) graced the occasion with their benign presence. The contest was judged by Dr. Nikhita Verma (HOD Dance Deptt.) A.S. College for Women, Khanna and Mr.Pulkit Jain, CEO of Pulkit Jain Dance Company, The Samarpan Studio of Performing Arts, Ludhiana.

The programme commenced with recitation of the Shabad to seek the blessings of the Almighty followed by welcome address by Principal Mrs. Gurmant Kaur Gill. 18 schools participated in the competition. There were 2 categories viz Category A & Category B. Each team comprised of 10 to 12 participants of each category. Around 300 students participated. The participants set the stage on fire with their energetic performances. The students wore colourful ethnic attires & showed their talent with excellent performance & enthralled the audience with their expressions & moves.

The fun filled extravaganza offered folk dance forms of Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujrat, Haryana etc. viz Ghoomer, Malwai Gidha, Rajasthani Folk, Bhangra, Lavni, Luddi, Kalbeliya etc.
